Athletics

On Tuesday the Senior School did athletics. First the 9 year old girls (that's my group) went to the high jump. I got over my first go and the next and the next and on on it goes. In the finals was Niomi and I. I won! Yay, I was really proud or myself. Next we went to Vortex. I had my go and I through the furthest so far! Was I going to win against the people still to throw? Yes I did win! Yay now I've won both things we had done so far! Next we went to long jump. I was nervous because some people had jumped far! Sophia bet me, but I came second! Next we went to shot put. I wasn't that good because the shot put ball was heavy. I came 5th. Next we went to sprints. It was hard because there was lots of fast runners,but I came 1st! Next we went around the track running. It was hard because we had to run round the field once then another run half way round. I came 2nd. I was proud of myself.

One Direction

 In 2010 Harry,Niall,Liam,Zayn and Louis all auditioned for The X factor separately, not knowing each other. Then the judges called all 5 boys to tell them that they were going to be a boy band! They were really exited to be going through and they became best friends. They got through to the finals and came 2nd place but the world already knew them they were all over the Internet and became famous as One Direction.

Bushy Park

On Sunday who ever wanted to come out of Room 6 and Room 5 and 1 person out of Room 4 to school at 10 o clock so we could go to Bushy Park. When everyone turned up we left in the cars ,Sophia,Kavindu and I went in Tomas's mums car. Finally we got to Bushy Park I realised that we were in the front of everyone. We had to click this button on the gate to make it open. The gate takes a long time to open! When we got through  the two gates we came to this big hill and we came across a house cafe thing. Once other people arrived we started on the walk. Mr Waite thought that it was a Robin bird, but he wasn't sure. When we got half way through the track we came to this place and it had a humongous tree. After we had had a look at the tree we moved on. While we were walking we came to where we were going and it was back at the big tree! We figured that if we came back to the big tree we had gone in a circle and that we had to go the other way. When we had got to where we were going it was a picnic area so we could have our lunch. After we had finished our lunch we carried on. Then we came to the house, cafe and we got in our cars and went back to school. I enjoyed going on the walk!

Westmere Walkway

Last Thursday Room 6 , Room 5 and some students out of  Room 4 went on a walk to the Westmere Walkway.
We went on a bus to get there. Once we arrived at  the track there was mud galore! Luckily I was wearing my tramping boots! The mud was like a big pool of  squishy gooey mince!...It was disgusting! But as soon as we got right into the actual track I got used to the mud because it was covering the ground you could hardly see the grass. After a while into the track we stopped at this place with some seats and an awesome view of Wanganui, we had some morning tea and a little play around. After we had had morning tea we carried on our tramp. Then we came across about 5 cows...they were staring at us and they looked creepy to me.....we were walking closer and they were running away....one cows leg got stuck on the wire and it was kicking its leg up. It was a little bit scary! When the cow was still trying to get out of the wire we had to stand back and wait for it to get free. Finally the cow got free from the wire and we started to carry on walking...but whenever we started to get closer to the cows they started running really fast. Then we had to run down a big,muddy,steep hill and it was slippery and I nearly slipped over and if I happened to slip over I would've been really, really, really muddy!...But luckily I didn't slip! When we got to the bottom of the hill I was getting tired and I had to have a drink. When everyone got to the bottom of the hill we had to walk over to this white pole until everyone got there then to the next, then the next, then the next. When we got to the last pole we came across a whole heap of cows and Ms Whitwell told us to just ignore them and walk past them.....when we were walking past them they just kept on following us wherever we went! When we came to this gate the cows were blocking us so we couldn't get past into the gate....just as well that there was this little place we could eat our lunch so we ate our lunch in there. One of the cows was staring at Miciah and it was right in her face, it was funny! While we were eating lunch Mr Waite and Mrs Whitwell and the parents got a stick each and made the cows go away so we could get through the gate. After everyone had finished their lunch we carried on walking.Then when we walked around a corner we spotted Mrs White - that's Jannah's mum. Finally we caught up to her and then we got up to this big grassy hill and we stopped there for a little play around.We were allowed to go climb the hill. When I got to the furthest we were allowed to go I  looked down and I nearly screamed! After we had done that we carried on our tramp. After about 15 minutes carring on we were nearly at the end. We got to the end of the track I was relieved to be done because I was very tired and couldn't wait to get back and go to sleep! I enjoyed our walk we went on!
